Hi
Have to get a car, only problem is that I know next to nothing about car makes. Have been driving a Rover 214SI and I need something in a similar size (I need to be able to fit an 8' spear into it - don't ask!!). Other than that, the cheaper and more economical the better, and I'll probably be going for used.
All advice welcome.

I saw a light at the end of the tunnel - but it was just a guy with a torch bringing me more work...

Ford Focus is the acknowledged class leader in that size range. You'll need a hatchback or estate to get the spear in though! Can I help?0
