I wanna start downloading music for my Ipod.

OK, I realise this makes me sound like a complete idiot but I want to buy some downloads off off Amazon but have no idea where to start.

I click on buy.... and then what happens? Do they sent me something or do I click a button? I do not want to lose any money but I have a new Ipod I want to play with :D Do I need to buy the music off Itunes if I have an ipod or can I do the same thing on Amazon. What about the downloads on Tesco - these are the same are they. Do I download it into my 'Music' file on the PC and then drag it over into itunes and sync it to my Ipod?

Any advice on where to get the music from (I saw some saying free downloads, this cannot be right can it?) and how it all works would be most appreciated. I have had this laptop for years but have never downloaded any music. :o

Thank you

It shouldn't matter where you get your music from; provided it's in a compatible format, your iPod will be able to play it.

Frequently Asked Questions: As for free stuff, you just have to know where to look. ;)
  • Amazon will prompt you to download and install a small download manager. Once that is downloaded you go through the checkout (one click buy is easiest) and it will automatically download through previously installed program. It's a very good way of doing it, and my preference.
  • Download completely free music from https://www.jamendo.com

Fair enough they are not artists that you may have heard of but some of the music is great.

Browse for 'Atomic Cat' if you are into Dance music and check it out.

    Cheers

The track I want is cheapest on Amazon so I have dlwnloaded from there but I did one of the free tracks (did other people know about these then - there are a lot ot 0.00 available??). I have downloaded it and moved it from my file to Itunes and it seems to be there. Easy as that. Now I just have to choose what I want as there is too much to choose from!!

    Thanks everyone.
  • Did you check out Jamendo?

Atomic Cat has a new album out and it is awesome!!
