Picture of wrong ticket

Friend of mine parked in a council monitored car park pay and display. She had a slow puncture so parked over 2 spaces so that she could pump up tyre with a compresser. Thing is she left it there (stupid I know) and got a ticket (the warden even watched her buy a ticket blow up the tyre and then go away) When she got back she had a ticket.

Looking at it the photo of the pay and display ticket is of the wrong ticket its of and old ticket that was also on the dash board.

Has she got any chance of getting it overturned or will she have to cough up?

if she has a ticket then she should take this to the council with the pcn and say that she had a valid ticket

The fine is for parking over 2 bays rather than not paying

If the ticket is for parking over two bays rather than for failing to display a valid ticket I'm not sure how the wrong ticket picture is relevant? Surely the image should show that the car is taking up two spaces?

What is the exact wording of the contravention on the ticket? Or even better can you post a pic of the ticket on here?

And what is the precise wording on the signs in the car park? Does it say you will penalty if you "fail to park within a marked bay", or if you "fail to park wholly within a marked bay". That makes a world of difference.

How? There is no obligation to take a photo at all.

What difference can it make if the ticket she has is for parking over multiple bays rather than not displaying a valid ticket?

Ok so she can prove she had a valid ticket but can she prove that she wasnt parked over more than one parking bay?

But what if they had bought two tickets? Would they then be ok to park across two bays? :D;)
