hi.
got a bit of a dilemma. Today i won a pair of motorcycle trousers from a shop on ebay. Problem is i thought i was bidding on a £150 pair of really good quality trousers and so i bid up to £55 and won. However i have just recieved an email saying there is a problem in picking my order and the trousers were actually invoiced to them wrongly. They were actually a cheaper pair of trousers RRP £100.
My problem is if i had known they were the cheaper kind i would have only bid the starting price of £39 as they are of a lesser quality. The seller is very apologetic and says he will refund me my money if i wish or i can have the trousers with a refund of the postage cost of £6.50.
Very frustrating as i need a good pair of trousers and i thought i had them
Does this happen often seems like the last two auctions i have had problems with the item not being as described

hi, i would take the refund, but then leave positive or neutral feedback, as the seller has been honest with you and explained the mistake.
I know from a sellers side, mistakes like that can geniuinely occur.
It seems like you've just had a couple of bad experiences with ebay, the majority of sellers are 100% genuine, check their feedback % and comments to see what their reputation is like, i dont buy off anyone with more than 4 or 5 negative comments against them. :jHelen

I know it must be frustrating, but really the seller has been great by giving you the 2 choices and at least they have been honest.
Partysis, why would you consider leaving neutral feedback? A neut is unfair as the seller has done all they can.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
well, personally i would have only given positive feedback, but i was unsure whether the original poster was really annoyed about this issue.
what i was trying to say was, dont leave negative.
soz if it came across wrong

Hey it's OK!
I just didn't think it would warrant a neut as the seller has been honest and upfront, which is more than can be said for some sellers I have come across.
The OP might be annoyed, I probably would be if I were in their shoes, but at least they haven't lost anything.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
thanks guys your right i should give him the benefit of the doubt. i guess i was just a bit annoyed. the first time the guy advertised a irridium screen but sent me a black one which was much cheaper with the same excuse that the inventory system they used got the items mixed up.
Just that it is happening quite a lot and i just needed to growl a bit......0
