Orange Broadband LiveBox Help?

Hi, I am so confused, and would really appreciate and value any advice:
I have an Orange broadband Livebox, although I do not think I'm making the most of it?! Any ideas how I can operate my broadband PC physically away from/unconnected from the live box?
The orange lead is currently attached to the livebox and goes to the back of the box of my PC. From the livebox are 2 other thinner leads: the grey lead from the livebox goes into a 'connector', to which my landline lead is also attached; a black lead is attached from the livebox to the back of my PC box. The livebox, PC and landline phone are situated together (all connected by leads) in my front room, while the actual phone socket (BT) is in my kitchen, hence the conector lead runs from one room to the other (and is rather dangerious re. health & safety!).
I'd like to be able to put the Livebox with the BT phone socket connected via a 'connector' in the kitchen, and then use my PC (with PC box) in whichever room I decide to finally place it. I do not have a laptop...
If you can understand all this - any suggestions on what I am doing wrong, or need to do right?
Many thanks.

The livebox can also operate wireless.
Does you PC have a built in wireless connection? Or do you have a wireless adapter.
If so, can talk you though the next steps.0 -
There is a wifi facility built in to the Livebox so u can use a wireless connection between the box and your PC or any other device such as a printer.
Details on how to set this up, which is fairly straight forward are on the installation CD/DVD that came with the Livebox. The code you require to authneticate the connection between the PC and Livebox is, if I remember, on the box the Livebox came in. Or you can set your own through the interface with the Livebox. How to connect to the Livebox is also on the CD/DVD.0 -
Thank you! I shall search for the packaging under the stairs. If I have any further probs, I'll post them here.0

Goes without saying, but make sure you secure your wifi connection.0 -

Hi All,
I've looked at the manual instructions (link below) BUT it appears the orange/red lead is still attached to the PC box, meaning that the PC still needs to stay with the rest of the leads?

If you've only got one PC to work with, you can still make it work, but it can be slightly confusing to do.
You need to add the wireless adapter card/dongle to your PC (if one not already present), but stay connected to the Livebox via the orange/red Ethernet cable while you configure and test it. Once the wireless connection is enabled and working you then disable the Ethernet network connection and unplug the cable.
All modern OS (I'm guessing you have Windows?) can cope quite happily with having several network connections at once.0
