2nd ebay account - still linked to 1 paypal account?

Hi

Been happy enough on ebay for a while, but started doing some more, and thinking of turning into small business, so wife opened her own account, with her own email addrss.

No proble, but when she goes to pay or receive money - its linking to the same paypal account I used previously, meaning the invoices and receipts have my name on it...?

Any one got any idea?

She can have her own paypal account if she wishes, otherwise there is no problem about her using yours as you can link up to 8 ebay account to a single paypal aco!!!!.

soolin, thanks. Yeah we want her to use her own paypal account, to keep things 'clean'

but it never gave an option, or asked. what do we need to do to let the ebay account no it sits against her paypal account (she has had a paypal account for months)

As long as she puts her own paypal details into the auction payment screen it shouldn't be picking up your one? They only use the address you give them.

soolin - I am 95% sure she put it in correctly. I will auction something else tonight, and go slow at the paypal bit, and then see what happens

It seems logical that it is just user error, if it is some sort of glitch it wouldn't make sense as how does ebay know what paypal address a partner has unless the user put it in themselves. Also, ebay will accept wrong addresses as well, I'm sure we all know someone or have read a thread on here where a seller has added the paypal email ID incorrectly as an .com account instead of a co.uk account and ebay just accept it. They cna only use what you give them, could it be an error via Turbo lister or something wihere it has defaulted to an old paypal addy?

It could be that you have just added her email address to your account so they are one and the same. If she has her own account then she would have needed to supply all new bank details and gone through a new set of verification details.

I'm not very technical but sometimes my husband and I have a similar problem, 2 paypaL accounts and 2 ebay accounts and they seem to mix together. I usually log out clear the cookies and then restart and log in again, it seems to work but after a while the same thing happens and then we just clear the cookies again. I don't even know what the cookies are but I am able to clear them on my own PC.

decided time to set up 2nd paypal account....registered with seperate email address - no problem

BUT as soon as I entered my bank account details to allow me to make purchases it stated that as the account was already being used on another account, IO couldnt use it

Well its a joint account so of course my hubby is already using that account number, and I dont have another bank account....Gulp....what now?

this means I now have a paypal account - totally seperate from my partner, but cant pay any money in to it - and worse, cant get any out!

asked for help - and louise the robot (automated virtual helper) said I would need to access the other account and remove the bank details from there.....my hubby will then be stuffed!

Unfortunately bank details can only be used once. I would remove bank details from one account and close that paypal account. Then if you only have the one joint account you will both have to add your email addresses to the remaining paypal account and use that.
