If I didn't have an overdraft facility but still got charged can I claim?

HI there,
I moved to the UK 18 months ago and was only eligible for a Solo card from HSBC for the first 12 months (because I didn't have a credit rating in this country yet). Sometimes my card would allow transactions to process through my account, even though my balance was zero and then they would charge me a huge amount as a penalty (between £50 and £25 a month). Am I eligible to reclaim these fees also?
