Does a balance transfer class as a payment?

This prob sounds a daft question and I hope it makes sense!
I've just got my 0%bt Barclaycard and transferred as much of my balance from my Tesco card today. I was told that the bt will take up to 7 days to go through. The next payment for my Tesco card is due in 9 days. Will the bt (i.e. Barclaycard paying well over the minimum payment due) count as a payment or do I still have to make at least the minimum payment?

customer services have always told me not to count it as a payment. but quite often, the BT goes through, then i call and ask them for the amount i have to pay off this month and they tell me it's already paid. i would never rely on what CS tell you, always cover your back... you may as well, it'll affect your credit record if you don't.0

Concur with the above, I've just had my Barclaycard....mine must count as I BT'd the whole outstanding amount....that's the only time you can be sure it will count!0

thanks both.
yeah, I hoped I would be able to transfer the entire amount but sadly they only gave me a £1650 limit on the Barclaycard which was nowhere near enough. ah well, guess I'll pay the min payment just to be on the safe side.0 -
Even so - 7 days for clearance and 9 for the payment due date is cutting it a bit fine so still make the minimum payment0
