I can only take free training courses after 6 months of claiming I think.

    I could become a bailiff!

Yes I think your right. Both of us can't find jobs. I haven't worked for a while and I have used all my savings. In 18 months of being out of work I've only claimed for 2 months job seekers. I'm not a scrounger and none of my friends know I'm claiming. I hate claiming.
I did this once, as I didn't want to scrounge. Then when my savings ran out I very nearly didn't get any benefits because I hand't claimed them from the get go - go figure, it was them I was trying to save money!

As it was, not only did I get them, they were backdated too - you might want to try that...

Well the council said I could probably back date council tax benefit but as for job seekers I'm not sure. I really could do with a job though!
  • Good luck.

I know they are doing a job and you can't tar them all with the same brush, but bailiffs are the SCUM of the earth (NOT all of them!) I have had hassle of a massive bloke the last few days and I had to be bailed out today as I was petrified.

    Keep us updated!

I probably shouldn't say this but I keep a bag of hot ground pepper behind my front door just in case. Get that in your eyes and you know about it!

when you know the law you will realise that generally a bailiff is like a dog with no teeth, they only have the powers you give them by letting them in to your home or forgetting that your partner owns your car, i realise they look intimidating and scary-thats there game plan, im expecting them round next week to try and levy my wife's posessions for an alleged debt of mine, i have borrowed a camcorder and will warn the bailiff of his impending you tube screen test should he misbehave or misrepresent his powers!, borrow a camcorder is a good idea, that way they cannot lie and get away with it!
