Currently a BT Customer and use the BT 1571 FREE Answering service. (not callminder)
If I move to Sky Talk (telephone line), will I be able to keep the free BT Service?

Hello MaxG
I definitely agree that this thread will be better suited to the 'Home Phones' board.:D
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

If you hand your line rental to Sky, you will no longer have a BT line or account so BT Caller Display, 1571 etc. will cease.
However, I expect Sky offer similar facilities .... but whether they charge for them or not I'm afraid I don't know.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
