Recommend pc remote repair company?

the drivers tend to be free from the relevant websites, if you post the manf of the pc(if a pre built machine) or post the mother board manf (if a custom build) and we could help,
but its entirely up to you what you do, you could pay £30 and like others have said it could still not be any better0 -
ssky, where abouts are you in the country? I run a PC repair company in Merseyside and would be happy to look at your computer if you are local. If not I offer the crossloop service but depending on what the stop error code is, a remote session may not solve your problem. If you post the error code from the blue screen I can give you a better idea of what could be the problem and the most economical course of action. It would also help if you could post the make and model of your computer, it will help to locate copies of the OEM rescue / repair disks

Thanks for all your replies. gaming_guy you were really helpful as i went to dell. There was a long list of things from there & i've only had a chance so far to update a couple of drivers as i've been busy.
fuzzball172 - i'm nowhere near merseyside. My pc is dell optiplex GX60. I'm not sure what you guys mean when you say i should post the blue screen message. I don't get any message. After start up, after my desktop icons are loaded, the desktop turns blue, i can't see my wallpaper & everything freezes for about 30-60 seconds & then after that everything starts to work again.0 -
If you insist on using a company to repair it for you you'll probably get the best service from something independant and local (ie your local equivilent of fuzzball
).
Ideally get a recommendation off someone you know locally or perhaps provide a hint of 'broadly' where in the world you're located and someone on here might be able to point you somewhere0 -
Just to clear up a bit of confusion here..
"Blue screen" is a techie term for a Windows catastrophic crash, otherwise known as a BSoD - Blue Screen of Death - where windows freezes and displays the error.

What you describe (Blue desktop) sounds more like a virus/malware which can possibly be fixed remotely.0 -
Can't see wallpaper and the desktop becomes black would mean an unlicensed Windows system, wouldn't it?0

What are you going on about? I never said it goes black & no i don't deal with anything unlicensed.
@nitr02007 - so i'm not experiencing blue screen then as in BSOD, thank you for that piece of info. Though as regards in having a virus, is it possible to still have a virus on my pc after scanning with a-squared, advanced system care, SUPERAntiSypware, avast, spybot, ccleaner, eusing & regcure & nothing has been detected?0
