confused: can anyone recommend good reliable Taxi Transfer for 2 people from Alicante Airport to Benidorm and return.

Yes I can.

I use a guy called Pedro Fernandez Ondono. My family have a property in Spain, not too far from Benidorm.

He speaks good english when you are with him, and has ok english over the phone - more than enough for him to take details of your flight etc.

He will be there GUARANTEED for your flight arriving, even if it is late, or early, he phones ahead and checks and same again when you want to go back

He is a registered taxi driver anyway, but our whole family uses him and all the UK neighbours .

Alison ....How much roughly does he charge? I have just priced a holiday up for someone in WS thread and shuttle transfer want 23pp and there are 4 of them.Just wondered if this would get the cost down

He is very reasonable at 45 euros to La Vila Joisa (about 8-10km from Benidorm, closer to Alicante) so maybe around 50 ?? Definately cheaper than a metred taxi.

Taxi's / Shuttles are extortianate in Spain and prey on tourists. The guy our family uses (last used on Monday) is a family guy just trying to make a living.

He can provide more than one taxi if required, does not drive like a maniac on the Spanish highways.

He takes your name, flight number etc and will wait for you in arrivals with a piece of paper with your name on it. He will not leave without you.

I can't rate him highly enough.

Prob closer to 100 euros as he's going further than we do, but it's only about 5/6 euros into benidorm from where our house is by taxi

Definately cheaper, more friendly service and very reliable.

...and if you want to do it on a budget, there's a scheduled bus direct from the terminal into Benidorm. 7 Euros each way.

Yes there is Les, but anytime I have tried to get a bus in the area it's not exactly always on time ............... if it's turned up at all.

Also, in the summer, I wouldn't fancy getting off a flight and faffing about with buses in the 35+ heat.

Just my personal opinion though
