    I use Dithane, it works very well if sprayed before blight gets a hold

    Just to say that I haven't had 2 full smith periods till this weekend but I've already got blight.

    I think from next year, we'll be spraying bordeaux as soon as I get the first near miss, respraying every time it rains etc etc. There's too much effort to getting the plants to fruit for the blight to steal them from me.

    we have blight on some of our tomato plants, have taken off quite a few green tomatoes...can these still be used to make chutney? will it keep ok?

    I would say if they have no marks or signs of blight on them, then yes I would go ahead and use them.
    I will warn you of one thing. A few years ago I picked absolutely loads and loads of green toms when I got blight, I put them in huge drawing office drawers and any that looked blight like, I threw away, any that looked ripe, we used.
    In the end I threw away 90% of the saved green toms, blight seemed to spread before you could find evidence of it in the unripe fruit. After that we used the green toms, or only saved and ripened green fruit from unaffected plants.

    But, I would be interested to see other peoples views.
