dose anyone no of a bank that will allow me to have a account with a cheque book, and possible a even a borrowing facility ????

You may be able to get a bank to open an account for you (see if you can get an appointment with a Business account manager) but I can't see a borrowing facility unless you have suitable security to offer which might be expensive to set up ( you pay bank's charges for registering security)

The final page lists all the banks that will offer accounts and the restrictions they place.

You should get a basic bank account but probably not an overdraft, at first. Most will want to see that you manage the account well for a while before extending credit facilities.

I've heard that Smile (Co-Op) are pretty understanding - and offer a good account too - so I would be inclined to try them.
