We're going for 2 sofas from sofasofa. I would agree with you Daveyjp about sitting on them however most people won't sit on a sofa in the shop the way they would do at home. That's why I liked the money back guarantee from sofasofa if it's just not what you were expecting.0

we have a thomas lloyd chesterfield suite. would use them again too. very good quality. better than any high st chain store. and cheaper than rip off DFS.
also try saxon furniture of bolton. you can see them being made on the premises.Get some gorm.0 -

Good luck, I ordered 2 sofa's from them last year, as the delivery team were lifting one of them from the van, I heard a loud crack, the frame had snapped.
They went straight back on the van.0 -
Hi, I know this is a fairly old thread but since the OP asked about sofa.com I thought I would share my experience.
I live in Edinburgh but fortunately I was able to visit their showroom in London as I happened to be there anyway.
We ended up ordering a Bluebell sofa (it hadn't been our original choice, as we liked the look of the Snowdrop sofa, but the Bluebell was more comfy!). We also had it custom made in a fabric we chose ourselves, which I didn't know from their website that you could do.
It arrived a couple of weeks ago and it is fabulous! Really comfy and feels very well made and sturdy. We did look at loads of sofas before buying it and I now feel it was worth the effort. It was great to be able to get one made in a fabric we'd chosen as well, as even re-upholstering an old one would have cost loads.
It wasn't the cheapest option but I want to have this sofa for years, I'm not the kind to change things every couple of years (unlike my sister, but that's another story!)
So I can highly recommend them, but I still think it is worth seeing it 'in the flesh' first, so to speak, if you are at all able to get to London.0 -
there is a bhs furniture store near york, not sure if they have others. we got our sofas there 6 months ago, they seem very good still and are comfy, plus the price was good. i'd advise against dfs, a mate of mine is a store manager there and won't touch their products. the 0% deal is a con because the prices are hugely inflated.0
