Quite a few non-payers with 0% feedback

I've been ebaying for approximately 8 weeks and I've come across 3 bid winners who have 0% feedback, have had their ebay a/c opened for a least 6 months and after winning have failed to pay - or even answer my emails. The items are all small non-expensive things.

Is this common ?
Do people create a/c's and win auctions just to wind you up (to put it nicely!!) ??

you could always set up seller requirements to exclude anyone without a credit card on file. That can help in these situations. Are you selling in an area with a lot of competition as it could be rival sellers? It has been known

You can restrict bids to those with positive feedback to largely avoid the problem.

You cant block someone with zero feedback as that would include anyone who hasn't used their account for over a year even though they may have 100's of positive feedback.

Please remember to file non paying bidder reports, to help stop this happening to others, get a refund on your fees and if they are multiple abusers from same PC they will get permanently suspended.

I have my first 2 non payers at the moment, one has over 100 feedback the other over 300. On the same day I sold to a zero feedback buyer and several with single figure scores and all paid within 48 hours.

Yes, agree, I always do this - its just a shame that the process takes two weeks and I wouldnt risk relisting until after the case is closed.

I sold something to someone who then changed their mind. So being the nice person I am I cancelled the sale through mutal non paid and got my fees back and then the buyer e-mailed me and said they have changed their mind and wanted to buy it. So I said send me the money via paypal and its yours but they wanted to relist it so I refused and blocked them for buying. Anyway they sent me endless e-mails about it and in the end I just ignored them and they got the message. So I relisted the item and a similar one and someone from the same country as them has now brought both items. 7 days later they haven't paid!
The best thing is to do is just report them as unpaid and block them. Ebay seem eager to crack down on the minority of sellers who don't play by the rules but don't seem interested in cracking down on the buyers.
