If you are in a Virgin area you could have Broadband without the having a phoneline installed0

I think that means in a Virgin cable area. You can get the Virgin National service in a non-cabled arera, but in that case you would need a BT line, as it's an ordinary ADSL service.
Virgin cable service is under Virgin Media.No free lunch, and no free laptop
