Credit Card charges - No account number??

Very very sorry if this has been posted before!!

I am trying to claim back credit card charges from cards that were closed about 4 years ago. I have no statements or the cards, so I don't know the account numbers, etc.

I have sent a letter stating my name and address to the companies (Capitol One & Egg) asking if they could send me the details. I am yet to receive any reply from Egg, but Capitol One sent me a letter stating that they have no record of me as a previous customer (even though I have 2 CCJ's with them).

I am totally stuck what to do next and time is running out. My wife is off work indefinitely, and we are running about £1200 down every month at the moment..:embarasse:embarasse, so anything back would be a bonus.

Thanks for any help.
