Hi
As you know we have chatted a few times - there are a variety out there - just put jewellery party plan into a search engine and you will come up with a few. There is also a website where you can "compare extra income" - search that and you will find a couple of them - including Miglio of course.
I did look at a lot of them when I started, but I didn't want to go with one where you could buy direct online from them and I wanted to make sure that any investment I made would give me a strong return - which miglio does.
Good luck

hi
i'm in the process of setting up a business and will be looking for independent distributors to sell jewellery as well as a range of other stuff made mainly by british artists so supporting our craft industry. i was going to sell online as well but noted that it would put some off - would that also be the case if it was only available online at the full RRP, with the incentive to buy from a distributor at a discount?
i ask because my range will be very varied and some distributors may only wish to specialise selling just one area i.e jewellery, and not the whole lot
thoughts on this very much appriciated!0 -
mellou, that would all depend on what kind of prices your 'suppliers' are wanting for their items, as an jewellery designer myself, I would be pretty miffed if someone was selling my jewellery for less than I have it for on my own website, or when I do a craft fair. My prices are worked on on how much the components have cost and for my time, my wirework and woven pieces take longer to make, but cost less in materials, and my prices only just cover this, so I would be wanting that at least for my items.
Plus are you sure that they can mass produce? as that is what would be needed, or else your 'catalogue' is going to be out of date every week.
With most craft workers, and jewellery makers, we tend to do one of kind items and not mass produced, so that would be something else that you are going to have to discuss with them.
I know that i wouldn't like to have to produce 100 pairs of identical earrings, as they would soon lose any appeal for me, and if I had to do the same piece of wirework or beadweaving over and over, it would bore me to tears abd I would soon come to hate that piece.0 -
