Electricity Usage
This may sound like a really daft question but Im struggling with Atlantic who have calculated that over a 12 month period I have used 6780 units of electricity! I have asked them to check my meter as I cant believe I can possibly have used so much but they say theres nothing wrong with it but havent been out to look at it.
Given that I live in a 2 up 2 down with gas central heating and combi boiler, work full time and have a child in school all day I cant understand how on earth I can be using so much electricity.
Any ideas on how I can resolve this problem as I now have a huge debt with them and am paying £124/month grrrrr
All ideas welcome x

Do you have any previous usage history, previous bills, meter readings etc that would be useful to build up a case of your previous electricity usage that you could go back to them with and then ask them to check your account again.
Failing that take a meter reading and monitor it on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to see what your electricity usage is like and see if it matches what they are detailing in your bill.0 -
As suggested, take daily meter readings. Also turn everything off and make sure the dail isn't rotating or the LED flashing.
Culprets aside from a faulty meter would include electic Cooker, Washing machine/Drier, Dishwasher, or an Immersion heater (unlikely as you have a combi). That gum you like is coming back in style.0
