My laptop is TOSHIBA Equium M40X - 230 and I am planning to upgrade it by 1GB memory card.
Can anyone let me know from where I can purchase the 1gb memory??
I rang TOSHIBA and they have advised me not to buy any generic ones, but to stick to the original brand and pay around £70!!!
Please let me know.

Definitely Crucial. They guarantee compatibility if you go through their selector.0

Crucials scanner is not always correct, they tell me that i have a FOXCONN motherboard where infact I have a ECS KT-600A motherboard. so its better to find out what motherboard you actually have, and go on from there.0

 Yes. Many. Kingston, for example.
But Crucial has an excellent reputation and its prices are keen.
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

I just ordered 4GB of RAM for my macbook via Crucial - always the first recommendation amongst people I know who work in IT."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"
