Looking for a good but cheap facial moisturiser

I am coming to the end of my supply of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser (christmas and birthday gifts)
I love it so much, but i am not prepared to fork out £25 for another bottle of it. So does anyone have any recommendations for a good but fairly cheap replacement?
I have really dry skin, so looking for something that will help with that...preferably under a fiver.

E45 face cream is fantastic for my skin which is dry. Tried using Clarins face cream and made my skin sting. If you have really dry skin sometimes its better to go for the more simple products. Well thats my experience anyway.0

i use the q10 stuff they sell in home bargains, have also used the evian stuff from poundland
i also have very dry skin and only used to use clinique - i have found the ones above just as good for me, didnt get on with E45 - felt like it sat on top of my skin and didnt soak in'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -
You cant beat Nivea...:)0

Not a fan of E45, full of paraffin and makes the skin pretty greasy. Why not try some Bio Oil for a while instead of moisturiser? Smells amazing and only need a tiny bit, can give yourself a little facial massage while applying it.
Or, go to a Clinique counter and be cheeky and ask for a sample!
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
I find SIMPLE quite a good alternative to clinque DDM
OR the original Olay un-perfumed (white bottle, black cap) good too.0 -
Apparently the Aldi one is good, Im rubbish at using anything but do have some bio oil for my belly so use that every now and again and it is good.:j

I have found the aldi lacura face creams and serums to be excellent, certainly as good as any of the olay/garnier types I have tried.
They are ridiculously cheap from £1.99 but please don't let that put you off,I was amazed at how good they are.0 -

 I decided to put this on my face to clear up acne scars - instead I got a lovely bout of more acne and terrible blackheads - it totally clogged up my pores.
I agree re Nivea - it's probably the best cheap moisturiser you can buy.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
Yes, sorry I didn't make myself clear re E45. Not the big tub, but the small tube you get specifically for the face. Its runnier and not waxy like the original E45 doesn't sit but sinks in.
Nivea is fantastic for dry skin and cheap - using that at the moment.0 -
Ponds Dry Skin Cream. It is really rich. I can't remember how much it was but I'm sure it is cheap.0
