Benefit line so busy

Why would they randomly publicise that?
Some staff need to have it pointed out to them too admitedly. Its policy to always make a call back if asked and good practice to offer if seen that it is a mobile that the call is being made from.
Its more a case of it has been pointed out to them, as the channel 4 website has a 'help and support' section on the benefit busters pages, that explains about contacting the jobcentre, they did allow comments, but when it was pointed out to them via a comment, they refused to publish that comment, and removed the ability to leave comments entirely in the help and support section.
Another paper, published a story about how much it costs for a jobseeker to phone the jobcenter, and again, refused to publish any comment which stated about the jobcentre guidance re phoning back.
also the article in the paper asked the dwp for comments, and no mention of the call back policy was made - either the dwp didnt tell them, or the paper refused to print what they said....[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Ive spent the summer contacting the benefit delivery centre its hugely frusstrating best thing to do is phone at 9am on the dot best chance of getting through.
Hopefully you'll get someone who gives a damn alot im afraid dont.
saynoto0870.com
you can find the actual phone no of must benefit no's via this website which should reduce cost of calling an 0845 no dramatically0 -
I had problems getting through to ESA for my husband. In the end, I phoned the CAB and they got me an ex-directory number (it had a local dialing code) which took me straight through. The person who answered was pretty miffed that I had the number, but I just said the CAB had given it to me and that was that. Got everything sorted.
The number I have is Leicester, so if that's you, I'll happily share. Even if not, they do have geographical numbers which don't go through a menu / wait period, even though someone from ESA told me two days ago that they don't (when it was mentioned in passing)!
Owen1 - be careful about Say No To 0870, it isn't effective for benefit claims. It tends to give a random 0800 number that is completely wrong.0 -

also re:help filling in esa form, your local CAB should be able to help you with that so that might save you another call?
