Realistically, how long until we get paid!?!?

Legal experts, financial experts, how long do you realistically think it could take to get money back. I understand we will hear the result of the appeal in October, but then it's all about deciding whether the charges are fair?? Everything involving courts seems to drag on forever. Lets just say, if I send off my 1st letter today, when would you predict I will receive an offer of payment? Christmas? Next summer? In 3 years?

    Bank or Credit card charges?

CC charges seem to go faster. Mine have ususally taken 3 wks from start to finish but I think Bank charges are different due to the court case.

I think the advice is to get your claim in quickly but the court case has been put on hold til Jan 2010. Altho reading some of the bank re-claiming threads it looks like some banks are paying out.

I would suggest you search those threads to see whether there has been any joy with HSBC.

I dont think we will ever see the money and it sickens me that they are aloud to drag it out this long, and then you hear on the news them bragging how much profit they have had made. I think we should just forget about it know if it was going to happen it would of i have been waiting 3 years now. I wish we could all have our money in cash and just keep it at home then these banks wouldnt see a penny.

My claim is for bank charges.

I have searched through but obviously due to the court case, it is only those in financial hardship who are getting paid at the moment.

To be blunt, if the Banks' win the House of Lords appeal then it is still not the end of the matter since the OFT can still say that they believe the charges to be unfair.
To be honest with you I can't speculate as to when it is finally over just what is happening now, but 2010 is my provisional date.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

And then burglary would be rife!
