EDF taking the P***
I am totally disgusted with EDF. I got my latest quarterly statement this morning.
This bill charges £122
This Bill Payments £144 (we pay £48 a month)
Total for this bill -£69.
Last month we were in credit too.
So they effectivly owe us £69. So what do they do about it? Refund us the £69....oh no they decide to put our monthly payments up to £80 per month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to ring their free phone number and just tell them you want the money they owe you payed back to you , and also your payments reajusted according to your useage. I have found them very helpful and have done this myself in the past with no problems. Best of luck0

Firstly I am presuming you are talking about gas and that you heat with gas.
Now what they are saying is not out of the question, if they pay you back the £69 then you will start the winter with roughly a zero balance. During the winter you could use about double the gas your £48 payment would cover. In that case you will end up after winter owing them quite a substantial amount, could be round about £150.
Their aim is to get you to a zero balnace after winter, so you should start the winter in credit.0 -
No sorry, this is the electric bill!
I have called them and even they did not know why the monthly payment was going up. They have agreed to keep it the same.0 -

£96 a month on just gas ?
Unlikely if £48 a month has consistently been leaving thme in credit...0
