By right clicking on the link I have the following options: copy shortcut, so I paste into the address bar and it comes up with page not found ?
Well, I'm really sorry, but I'm not enough of a techie to know what might be causing your difficulty. The only other thing that comes to mind is that the crossword requires a thing called Java to be enabled on your PC.
Internet Explorer is singularly unhelpful on this, as when you go to "Help" and type Java into the search box, it comes up with nothing! However, in IE, click on "Tools", then on "Internet Options". Now click on the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down the window until you come to a heading "Java".
Now, I think you will see this "Java" heading. I do in my IE, but maybe that's because I've already installed Java! Anyway, here's an image of what I see on my screen:
When you enable Java, I think your PC will go to the website at Sun and download the Java programming.
Maybe this will sort out the problem. If not, perhaps you could make an enquiry on MSE's techie board, where I'm sure someone better qualified than I will be able to help you.Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

Well I thought I would get more clickthroughs! I couldn't rustle up the coors so the o'payments were the best I could do, slightly more entertaining than the o'dears!0
