Hi, I am trying to make a dvd slideshow of My Pictures, but for whatever reason when I click ADD my pictures come up but I cannot drag /drop, tranfer file, windows says file not found, they are all titled, the only way is to add 1 at a time by clicking on each picture then Add, but I then have to get pictures back to do the same.I normally use nero6 but vista wont accept it without update@ £7.any help appreciated. I am using windows dvd maker

I have made a couple of DVDs using this and found it easier to use WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER first. (Normally bundled with Vista & XP). I use this to choose the photos I want and the amount of time each photo is on view, plus you can add music and varied special effects. Then save the project.
Open Windows DVD Maker and click on ADD ITEMS, a new window will open where you choose the Folder the photos (or Movie Maker project if you used that) are in, then highlight the photos you want to use and click on ADD. Repeat as needed until you have all the photos you want. Then you can name the dvd in the box at the bottom of the page.
Click on NEXT, use the MENU TEXT, CUSTOMISE MENU & MENU STYLES. Once you have decided that it is how you want it, click on PREVIEW to check before you click BURN.
It will take a time to make the first DVD, but when that finishes it will ask you if you want to make another and that copies a lot quicker.
Hope you understand my ramblings !!

Hi, thanks, when you selected your photos, did you not get fed up of clicking each picture, add, then retrieve pictures to repeat maybe hundreds of times as I did.Why can you not drag/drop each photo or evenbetter add the whole folder, or am I being a bit lazy?

If you copy all the pictures you want to use into one folder, then single click on the first one and then hold down the shift key and single click on the last one they will all highlight so that you can move them all at once.
