but its better than popping out kids so she can sit on her !!! all day (whilst getting paid alot more for doing so some earn upto £15,000 in benefits a year whilst staying at home). Some people take the system for a ride and this goverment is just letting then get away with it.

This would be the money in your pay packet if you earned £17,438

All you need is a national insurance number, which can be bought and fill in a form saying you've six kids back home in Bulgaria and sit back and collect the tax credits for them.
Sounds easy. What's stopping you from doing the same?

I would imagine you would assume the nationality of the NI number you bought for these purposes. The fact that they are illegal cannot possibly help them in this plan. They would have to hide their illegal identities to be able to claim benefits. Therefore the fact that you are not illegal can't hinder you.

Good for you. But presumably, based on my explanation above, it is possible for non-honest British people to follow this plan. Do you think many of them do? If not, why do you think these practices are restricted to illegal immigrants?

Or maybe, does this actually not happen in any significant number?
  • I think it was the fact that you said "....back home in Bulgaria" that gave me a clue.

I think the point is that the immigrant came from somewhere else but bought an NI number with a Bulgarian identity and claimed to be from there to make him legal. In much the same way as someone from Bulgaria, Britain or anywhere else legal could do. Whether it's possible, I don't know - but I doubt it's widespread and I don't see why it would be more common with illegal immigrants than anyone else.

What I think you're trying to say, and, to be honest, I'm non too sure.
Is do British nationals do this.
Do you not read papers? and these are only the ones who are found out and prosecuted in a court where the media consider it newsworthy if nothing else has happened.
