I had a day off today and tried to have a sleep as I've been having problems sleeping at night due to stress. The phone rang twice in five minutes!!

I scraped around in the freezer to find something for dinner and have not ventured to the shops at all, just had to ration the milk as I'm running a bit low but don't want to spend anything.

Was going to list some items on Ebay, may do it later.

I bought some new bits to wear for my interview tomorrow, but as I left the shop had a sudden pang of guilt so have left them in my locker at work so I dont even have them to wear, even if I wanted to. So they'll be going back tomorrow.

So technically I dont really see myself as having spent anything today.
    (slight cheat I know)

Am spending my evening prepping for interview (wish me luck my friends!), and am searching for some OS/HM recipes for chutney, relish etc to start making up some jars to make my hampers for gifts.Trying to do them fairly cheaply but fairly substantial.
Then going to make my dinner out of the cupboard, I feel something 'tinny' on toast tonight!!

I transferred £30 I earned as ING referrals to my bank account (it should hit it next week) and I will use this to pay off a bit more overdraft.

Bought some groceries from Tescos rather than Sainsburys later as I know they will be cheaper.

However I forgot tinned tomatoes which I needed tonight so had to trundle to local shop where I spent 49p as opposed to 15p  That annoyed me!

Edit: Oh & I got lifts too so no bus fare today again.

Second Edit!! Went to Sainsburys with OH (he was going anyway for beer & petrol) and sought out mark down/BOGOF bargains.

Bought BOGOF toothpaste (which we needed anyway)

Two packs of rolls for a saving of - woohoo - 8p. But we buy them anyway for my HM lunch and 8p is 8p right? I like to think I would smile if I found 8p on the bus! ;)

2 x reduced crusty baguettes @ 19p each to have for lunch on a Saturday or a Sunday, they've gone in the freezer.

2 x Big Tomato Pave breads which go sooooo well with cheap pasta dishes or to bulk out a meal such as a veggie casserole @ 0.99 each. These are also in freezer.

1 x packet of crumpets (with 2 free!) for when you get those late night munchies...! 0.39p Crumpets are low fat as well! (Just mind the butter on top!)

Savings in total £2.07. So not bad!

Had a job interview today for a really suitable job! Not currently working, so if I get it at least there will be two incomes in our household instead of just OH's. Very DFW! Job is located 1 mile away from OH office, so can car share...Hope I get it!

Got to visit my Gran on the way home too, and had a chat and a lovely cup of tea and biscuits!

Spent nothing again today..but been naughty as used the Tumble dryer and dishwasher as too hyper to do housework!

Good luck for the interview tommorow CAFCgirl!!

Cancelled the order for 2 chairs from John Lewis, order I made 2 weeks ago.

Picked up tea offer from tesco at lunch time, offer did not apply and got all £1.90 back. Provided 10 pence to the tesco lady and got a £2 back to put in the £2 saving jar.

At work realised, the salad from tesco was charged 7 pence more than the price on the box. Went back after work to get refund. An additional £1.81

    Found 1 penny

Performed the usual web searches from cash-back sites (experiment I have started last week-end to see over a month how much is the return and if worth the investment in time)
