What have you done that's DFW Stylee - Thurs 20th

Morning all.

Bit grey here today so don't think I'll put the washing out yet. Going to get the BM on in a minute and will then shower with my BOGOF shower gel! (SS - there are some sacrificies I won't make!! :rotfl: )

Not got to go out today so should be safe from overspending. Going to spend the morning sorting through my wardrobe to get my summer stuff out (I live in hope of sunshine) and will go through kids clothes to see what still fits them. I can see an ebay listing session coming on!

LA - It's really exciting to have a trip to look forward to. I'll keep my eye open for deals to Amsterdam for you as I'm often looking for flights for work. I usually use https://www.thomsonfly.co.uk from Coventry for excellent deals to Europe.

Hope everyone has a great DFW day.

Lewby xx

i had a good DFW morning. Was very disorganised to start with and didnt make lunch so was off to buy some pitta breads with my last £1 in my purse for the week, when i got to Fencurch Street Station and they were giving away Noddys crisps, so i went back twice and got 4 bags!!! he he!
then got a freebie from Krispy Kreme, so that was breakfast sorted! so spend so far today 35p on pittas :-)

Morning Lewby, bit grey here today too! back to the tumble dry again  just when I thought electric savings were on the way as those price increases are a pain.

    DFW style for me today....

Offererd a customer a discount for cash, know its cutting my profits but I will still make 25% and its a nice order if I get it :j just buy in and fitting so I figured that as its not a time consuming job its a quick turn around so that I can throw that profit at my Barclaycard to try to clear that up. :T

    Fingers crossed x

    Morning all.

Today I have made a bit of a big DFW decision.

I have looked into and decided to change my mortgage for a lower rate.

It should save me £40 per month (which will go towards debts) and allow me both overpayments and payment holidays (which will of course be very carefully planned).

I have told my IFA to start the move over as of today.

I would never have done this if it was nt for this place and so am very pleased.

I have again rinsed my beansprouts and watered my seedlings. Wooo. Not a lot else, apart from, it is payday, and I have not yet been to the cash point, despite having literally not a penny on me.

Incidetnally Thomsonfly also are a quidco co, so you can get cash back if you are wanting to use them!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Small things I did to save today:

Used coupons to buy a free sandwich from Subway and asked for extra onion. Picked the onion off and put it in the slow cooker with some meat when I got home!!!

Bought the serviettes home and will use them as loo roll and bought 2 little cups of milk home for my coffee. You may think I'm mad doing all that but I like to get my monies worth!

Took the kids swimming today, it usually costs about £6.20 but they were doing a free swimming for the kids cause its school hols so it only cost me £2.40. I'll be taking advantage of this in future.

I wrote the DPA letter to Lloyds Tsb for bank charges, wrote to Student Loans company to find out *glup* how much i owe them and paid £46 off CC2.

Feeling rather smug now, although am going out for dinner, so will be spending then, but only a cheapo £10 dinner, so won't feel too guilty

OH has just sold 5 cds on ebay for a total of £21! so we've been very good today :j
