    Hello all :j

flourgirl - hope hospital visit goes ok.........horrendous charge for car parking..........we have to pay when OH sees consultant but luckily he's not there more than an hour................long enough though.

Super cards all of you :T

Heard this morning that my Mums closest friend died yesterday -she'd been ill so it was expected really and at 93 she'd had a good life. So, I've been attempting a 'sympathy' card...........not good at those sort so in the end I just did something floral. Seemed to take me an age to do it - did intend to get it done this morning then start covering shoe boxes...........plan went up the spout  typical.....oh well, there's always the weekend;)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well Elliot was quite for a while - he's now pulling all my hair out trying to remove the clip from my head - it really hurts.

    Lyndach - what's a bumbo???????

Mary - sorry to hear about your Mum's friend, I've never made a sympathy card myself - I've always struggled trying to decide what to put on it.

  • I had to make a couple of Sympathy cards a few weeks ago.. I made a floral one and a plain male style /colours card . Both with 'Thinking of you' stamped onto them. It was the first time i had ever attempted a sympathy card too. So i tried to keep it fairly plain and to the point.

Ive not heard of a bumpo either, is it one of the foam chair type things ( abit like you could sit baby in to sit them in the bath ?

Craftgranny - thanks for the link it looks cool, it is difficult to know what to do with Elliot at this stage as he can't sit up by himself yet, he's got a walker but he gets bored in that because his legs aren't long enough yet for him to whizz about properly.

Little miss can't sit up by herself either but we got this bumbo for her when she was 3 months old and loves it! (she's almost 5months now) she forvever wants to sit up on our laps and it hurts your arms after awhile so we got one and she's happy as larry. Plus sometimes it makes her poop :rotfl:
If Elliot's a good kicker maybe look at the Fisher Price jumperoo, Sophia can;t reach the floor but can kick hard enough to bounce and it'll last ages as you can adjust the height when she gets taller!

Lyndach - I was looking at the jumperoos months ago and I wanted one so much but we're really limited for space here so I didn't get one. I am really tempted by the bumpo though - they've got them on amazon for £20 - I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of it though - Elliot is nearly 6 months.

    Hi Mary-Op

So sorry to hear about your Mum's friend. I'm not good at sympathy cards either, but had to make one a few months ago, which is here:
