:grouphug:Louby :grouphug: It amazes me how rude, discourteous and ill mannered some people are. It is their loss! Your nappy cakes are smashing.

    Pass the biccies!

  • Thanks but i just found it quite embarrassing and arkward. I have another shop in mind but i am not sure how to aproach it as it is a different kind of shop.
I must get off here and get some crafting done. Hubby isn't home untill midnight tonight so i have some time before i need to tidy it all up. I get in a right state. I can't blame him getting a bit fed up with it as he often goes to work with glitter in his hair or stars or foam pads stuck to his bum. Those little bits get every where :rotfl:.

Anyone know where i can get huge envelopes from? I think i have asked this before and the only thing we came up with was A$ postal white and brown ones. They may have to do but just checking incase anyone seen any. The card with me A4 once folded. They are for xmas cards for family and wanted them to be a bit nicer than postal envelopes. I prob will end up getting white ones tho and sprucing them up a bit.

I just had a meeting at a shop to see if they would stock my nappy cakes
well they don't want to :o I was so embarrased. The assistant loved them but the owner wasn't so keen. The assistant asked me for some business cards but the owner looked at them and handed them me back :o:o I swear i went bright red. I managed to leave some little post cards with photos on with the assistant but i don't know if they will get displayed

I am currently making my way through a packet of biscuits to cheer me up, any excuse lol

Dont get disheartened, keep going and someone will snap them up :D

I was mortified when i took some of my cards into a little boutique, the owner was looking through them and picked one out and said......'this ones dirty and ripped'..... I had to explain it had been inked and torn to look like that! :rotfl: Some people just dont get it! :rotfl:

have you got a piccy of your nappy cakes? seriously dont be embarassed. nobody but you, the assistant and the owner know. the rest of the world doesnt know about it although im sure it feels like that now :) maybe the owner just thought he wouldnt make enough money after he had paid you and didnt want to say that!

Louby have a look on ebay, I recently bought a pack of generous envelopes that worked out to be really reasonable, I'll try and find the link.

Here you are, check out his site as I only bought 25

OOPS! Wrong one, try this for cream envelopes.

Louby - don't beat yourself up - I think your cakes are fantastic. Maybe they were too good for the shop!
  • Hello, can I join this thread? I've been making cards since Christmas 2006, but I've had to quit the last 12 months as we moved into our first home and I've been living on the DIY forum. But I started making cards again last month as we have pretty much finished our house and I have my own crafting area :D

I created a blog today with a sample of what I've done. Does everyone have blogs of their cards? Is there are thread somewhere with links? I'd love to add some of you to my RSS feeds which is what we did on the House Renovation thread.

I'm slowly working my way back through the 239 pages :)

    Oh here's my blog: http://cardsbyjones.blogspot.com/
