Making Cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (Part 3)

Hi.
I hope someone can help me with this - I want to add some sparkle to some rather plain looking cards that I have bought and was thinking about some kind of iridescent spray. I've looked at some crafting websites but the cans of glitter spray seem to be quite large and fairly expensive. As I only want a small amount I was wondering if the glitter spray you can use on hair would work as it is much cheaper but I don't want to buy it if it will spoil them or not work.
I'm not really a very 'crafty' person so I hope this is the right place to ask as you all seem very knowledgeable.
Thanks.0 -

Giggle - I had a sidekick before I upgraded to a cuttlebug - is a great little thing but a bit limited as it only fits certain things.
Good offer here though.
Will try and get everyone's stuff off by Thursday - car is having service and MOT on wednesday so think it might be a very expensive weekOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
