I have done ok with my Etsy shop, my problem is finding the time to make the monkeys to fill it. They take me so long to make but I usually sell them fairly quickly once I list them. I once spent all weekend making 3 new monkeys, listed them on the Sunday night and when I got up on the Monday someone in Pennsylvania had bought all 3:eek: so the shop was empty again:rotfl:But it depends on what you are selling really, there are loads of jewelry sellers on Etsy who struggle as there is that much competition. I don't think Etsy fees are that bad and with regard to the dollar thing I just use an online convertion table before I decide on a price.

I just did it through trial and error really:o The first monkey I sent to the states actually cost me money to send as I hadn't charged enough:rolleyes: But after that I knew exactly what it cost so charged accordingly. I don't try to make money on p&p, I charge exactly what it costs me.

Back from the local craft event i went to today and it was rubbish. The only craft there was a woodturning chap that wasn't actually turning any wood just selling his bowls etc. The rest was all food and the same food it was all cakes and biscuits. There was no variety at all. Bad planning.
So i didn't get my free tickets to the nec from the chap i thought would be there. Never mind but looks like i won't be going.


craftygranny it would be brilliant if you did have any spare whisper pens, I would love to swap for something. Send me your addy if you do find any so i can send you something.

Not sure I'll use raisins......grandson is only two and half so don't want to cause any tummy problems. Think chocolate buttons will do. Its only a small jar.
I've done a label to go round the outside -just have to do the tag with the verse on now.

Well I made a visit to the Range this afternoon and gave in to temptation, bought a few christmasy bits and bobs and paid well over the odds!!
