Jamtart, if you want something a little different have a look in the altered items of your favourite online store, I've seen those wooden filing systems that have been decorated with beautiful papers and embellies galore.

If you want plain but very practical have a look at the Really Useful Box Storage box system from here http://storage4crafts.com I can't rate this company highly enough and the boxs are brilliant

Crafty people of the world - i need a beautiful solution to lots of paper work. when bills, letters etc come in, they get flung in a pile and sorted every so often, but i am envisaging some sort of storage where by "banking" goes in one box/holder/envelope "receipts" in another etc. but i want it to be pretty - any of you clever types seen anything like this??

    Hi Jamtart

I have just had a hugh sort out of our paperwork, and have started to use the document wallets that are just slightly bigger than A4, are plastic and have a popper on the front. Tescos were doing 10 different colours of these for £1 a couple of weeks ago. Wilkinsons sell them for 35p each and again they come if different colours. I have a different colour for different bills ie bank statement/water bills/electricity bills/gas bills etc, and they now look neat and tidy! But they don't take up too much space.

CT with the circle scallop punch get a good one like Woodware or EK Success, something that will take a good deal of use. Do you know the size you want? Have you got a Cuttlebug or a Big shot that you could invest in some nesties. I found a link on rainmac's blog (I think) for an online shop that did die cut in some amazing shapes and colours, they were called Die Cut Dreams

Thanks The Wife - i'm looking to get a 1"/2"/3" woodware one, but everytime I go to any shops ie Papermill that is 90 miles away or hobbycraft 50 miles away they never have the sizes I want. Whenever I get excited about find a website with them on for reasonable money, they are always out of stock and never appear to come back in stock again. I don't have a cuttlebug or big shot either, and to be honest if I got one I'm not sure how much use it would get to justify the cost. Thanks anyway, i'll just keep looking.

Don't spend a thing ... PM me your address and I can send you some ;)

Will catch up with the thread soon ... currently trying to talk to a couple of mates and wrap presents at the same time .....

Now the question is do I make it more exciting by wrapping up the door frame so he has to burst in? (thanks for the idea Rainmac) or do I just shut the door as normal?

Thanks for the offer Rusty, i'll PM you in a bit. How fantastic would it be to wrap the door and have your son burst in. Might try that when my son is 7 next year.
