To anyone that went ribbon mad yesterday....
The following has been posted on ukcrappers by the owners
Our closing down sale isn't so much "ribbon mad" its ribbon ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!! lol
In the first 24 hours we have received nearly 250 orders with up to 30 orders being checked out at any one time.
Whilst we are busy packing around the clock, realistically its going to take about 14 days to get all of them picked, packaged and into the postal system (and even then its touch-and-go if I'm going to be lynched when I next show my face in the Post Office tomorrow!!).
We appreciate this is a whole week longer than we originally estimated before we were aware of the volume of orders so we will of course keep you updated with your order progress and offer an instant no quibble refund to anyone who cannot wait this long for their order to be sent out. Just email me your order number and I will do it straight away.
Lol - there isn't much left in our closing down sale but we do have some embellies still with huge discounts and a few ribbon bundles and kits left (very limited numbers of everything)0 -
Thanks Dragonllew, its really helpful as I didn't know where to start. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0

Thanks Dawn, I hadn't been on to spot that...I don't know whether to cancel or not now. I did need the things I ordered, so 2 weeks is a very long time, but they were good prices too...What a choice!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0

thanks DTB, I must admit to being very partial to ribbon even though I've got loads. I've had my 'dispatched' notice from them and they are very good on postage. Lots to play with tomorrow when I go back to work.
Can someone give me a quick fan with a newspaper, I've entered 5 challenges with the latest card. Five!! I don't usually do one. it's all that Gemm's fault! Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Thanks for the link - I have been umming and ahhhing to buy some of these distressing ink things, so I think I may just have to have a go! :jSo much for 'Money Saving'0 -
THE-WIFE I haven't managed to find any real dollar shops here yet. There is a big one opening close by but it is nowhere near ready to open so I think I will be gone by then!!!!
I am surprised that Michaels doesn't have a coffee shop, I spend several hours in there and would welcome being able to get a coffee!!!!
Just had a look at your Mother's Day card, it is beautiful. I'm sure it will be well received.
melissa75 - have just voted for you, good luck!!!
Lyndach - so glad you got the ebay seller to give you a refund. I must admit I did smile at the thought of you with so many teabags!!!!! You would have been drinking tea forever!
I went to Target today and they had reduced alot of their card making stuff so picked up a Fiskars small paper cutter, a border punch, a few clear stamps and some other bits and bobs. Also found a Japanese version of a pound shop and they had some lovely rolls of washi handmade paper for $1.50 and menu holders for the same price which would be great for displaying a card so got a few of those also. I think I need to stop shopping for a few weeks now!!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
ponr keep shopping till there's no room in your suitcase 'cos you'll regret it, so many things in the stores that we just don't see over here. That Japanese paper sounds wonderful, I didn't see that. If you're near one check out Wallys World (as Walmart is affectionally known as) I was in one and went down the dollar alley and got quite a few different ribbons and mini stamps, they have quite a bit of crafting stuff now, I'm told.
Images of Lyndach surrounded by tea bags keep popping into my head, that could have been a fab tea party, I could show off my new cake diving move, into white frosting in honour of the Olympics!
