    Hi everyone,
Just a quick one ... I've been buying some scrap book papers here and there and chopping them up to use on my card fronts - I've only so far bought them from hobbycraft, does anyone know if it works out cheaper ordering them online? TIA
    x

Have a look in Craft Superstore sale section they usually have 6x6 8x8paper sets and some card packs from about 99p Also Glitterpot have paper packs in the sale from time to time. Look on ebay too, sometimes you can pick up part packs quite cheaply.
  • oooh pep pop i have 3 of those cabinets i bought mine from there about 3 or 4 years ago they were 19.99 then.

Helping hubby - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! Hope you had a good day and sorry I missed your birthday aswell!!

Have some cake as an apology!

Craftygranny - Good luck for both girls xx

Marg - Sorry I hadn't realised you had sent me me to you, I searched emails and found them!! 25th september last year!! I never even said thankyou so I am sorry! I didn't use them ones.

I managed to make 2 easy simple cards for OH whilst bunbun was here! Pics on my blog

I complained about the card candy that arrived damaged and really bad quality, they resent the order monday, it arrived today whilst bunbun was here and they had only replaced 6 packs!!!! I got on the phone to them but I am going to send an email of complaint aswell as I am very annoyed by it all!!

On a different note, I now have a business account with craftwork cards!! .... did you know for trade I can get card candy for 78p a pack  They must be making profit on it themselves to sell it at that price trace and then the likes of the glitterpot sell it at £1.50 aswell  I have to buy in packs of 8 though but even so it is still cheap, also the sentiments for trade are £1.50!!
Seriously considering setting up a monthly thread on craftyplace to pass the savings on. First order has to be £100 then each order after that has to be £50.

Sorry forgot to ask, the Expedit cabinets from Ikea, the squares which you put things in do they fit 12x12?? I am thinking more the shelves rather than the red boxes which go in there?

    Hi everyone,

Thank you soooo much for all the birthday wishes. I have had a fab day so far, just got in from work, and have 5 hours to make myself pretty cos OH is taking me to a posh restaurant! No kids either so it will be a fab night.

Thank you Marg, Choccy for the gorgeous cards and Flourgirl for the card, paper and chocolates.

I'll put piccies on my blog later. Really happy as had a bit of crafty things so will definitely be having a play with the new things at the weekend.

Haven't had a chance to catch up with the thread since the weekend, so will try to do that over the next couple of days.

Craftygranny, hope everything goes well for Alicia and Carly in the coming days.

    xxx

Oh my goodness, I go away and make a card and come back to about 3 more pages!

Well, I eventually got around to doing my DD's 40th birthday card and I put it on my blog. She's coming for a visit in less than a week's time, I can't wait to see her face when she opens her Survival Kit :D.

    Enjoy your meal tonight CT.

I'm off to nurse a bad headache. I wonder if some of my d-i-l's really scrummy home made bread pud will make it better? Certainly sounds better than cleaning the bedrooms which was on my list for today :rotfl: .

Glittermum - good luck tonight with all your crafting!

CraftyJuJu - I bet your chair will look great - make sure you take some pics when its done! Love your sock monster - he is fabulous!!!!!

Sally - I'm glad to hear that your OH is feeling better! Your sock bouquets are gorgeous - love the effect of just using white. This might be a daft question but is it real flowers that you've used?

Rainmac - love that "movie time" image - it would take me weeks to colour 40 in!

Pointofnoreturn - Michaels does sound amazing - puts our Hobbycrafts to shame! Those punches look fab!

CT19720 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Have fun tonight at the restaurant!!!

Marg - sorry to hear you've been ill!!!

Lou05 - I haven't been to Hobbycraft for ages but from what I can remember it is much cheaper buying papers online especially if you order from shops that have sales on or free postage offers on. Was there any particular paper that you were after???

Rusty - lovely "me to you" cards, the card candy looks great!

TomsMum - beautiful card - I love the pastel tones!

I'm thinking of going to the NEC end of March for the craft event & to beable to pay with my Clubcard points - Bonus :D

Anyhow was just wondering how much would be a good amount to try & save for it as I've never been before. Hope you don't mind me asking :)

How much to save??? Is remortgaging your house an option? ;) No seriously, you could easily go completely mad or just spend a little bit but still have a great time. I will not be spending lots as money is a bit on the tight side as OH has been forced to take a pay cut along with everyone else in his company to keep everyone in a job. Should only be a short-term thing but it's scary and if I came home with bag loads of stash, he would file for divorce. Could you come on the Friday when some of us on here are going? Would love to meet you x

TheWife, yep as others have said, the circle and oval sentiments are by Craftwork Cards.

Rusty, seriously sentiments are £1.50, they charge £3.50 a pack retail I think. I am really hacked off at the price difference  I would be very interested in placing orders with you as I get most of my card blanks from there and card candy and sentiments ;)

Flourgirl, thank you for the lovely email x

Lou05, are you looking for any colour papers in particular? I could have a rummage and send you some, let me have your address if you want me to x

Tomsmum, your card is gorgeous, so sorry you have a bad headache, cleaning is certainly not a good idea ;)

Mel, your colouring is so perfect I was hoping you were going to volunteer to colour the 40 images in for me??? Only joking of course x

I got a phone call from DS1's school at 2pm saying that DS1 was feeling very sick. I raced to school and he isn't sick at all, he looks and sounds really tired but not sick. There are lots of children sick at the moment and I think the school were just being overly cautious. He is happy as larry playing on the wii, shouting at his brother to get out of the way ;) I can't be bothered sending him back just for tomorrow, he could defintely do with the rest, does that make me a bad mum? DS2 hasn't been to preschool today as the community centre where it is held was broken into last night and there's lots of damage. Preschool is closed now until after half term. Roll on after half term ;)
