Unsure who to get Gas / Electricity with...
Hi,
I have just starting letting a house. I am unsure who I should go with for getting my Gas and Electricity. I have looked at the comparison sites, but as I have no idea how many units I am going to use, I dont know who is best.
Please dont think that I am being lazy in asking here, I am just completely unsure whats for the best!
I have been offered £130 off my annual bill by British Gas if I sign up for Dual Fuel.
Thanks.

Do you mean you are the landlord letting the property or a tenanat renting a property?
If you are the landlord, it's quite usual to have the tenants pay for the utilities.
If you are a tenant, then why not use the existing supplier until you know what your expected usage will be. The words frying pan and fire spring to mind otherwise.
Or perhaps ask the existing tenants what their annual usage is as a guide, but you are still taking a risk without knowing what your usage will be.
As for BG offering you £130 off your annual bill, that's pointless unless you know how much you'll be paying with BG, perhaps £200 - £300 more than a competitor can offer"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I am the Tennant.
I will have to try and get the info from the Letting Agency / Landlord. The Letting Agency have been worse than useless up to now!
