M&S do some fab bigger sized bras. The backs start from 32 upwards.

I used to love Charnos bio-form bras.

All the uplift of an underwire but with the comfort of a moulded plastic section (much comfier than a wire).

    But they stopped making them:(:(:(:(

I just sold a new boxed one I found in the back of my cupboard for £18 on Ebay:o

  • There's also www.amblebosom.co.uk - they do lovely styles, have had some really fab ones - they are a bit pricey but have a sale on at the moment.

Both my daughter and I are well-endowed curvy ladies. Our local Bravissimo shop is in Leeds, but it is always busy and you have to wait for ages to be measured/fitted. They also don't seem to carry that much stock. We prefer going to the Leia shop in York (they also have branches in Bluewater, Cardiff, Liverpool and Richmond). Air conditioned, roomy changing rooms and very friendly, helpful staff. They have wonderful sales - bought 2 really pretty Freya bras, one at £22, the other reduced to £13! Also have a good selection of swimwear - got one piece swimsuit that actually fits: proper underwired bra, adjustable straps, tummy control panel AND a floaty cover-up kaftan to match for recent holiday all at half price! My daughter lives in North Wales, so uses Bravissimo website or Leia - (I tried to include the website but was not allowed to even though I've been a member for 6 years). Hope that helps?? :o

what back size do they go up to? quite often walk past the shop in york

the best place i found for bras was a shop in blackpool, my sis took me but i cant remember what it is called - they fit the "ladies" from funny girls

40 E here, the only bra I ever buy is Panache Tango II, it fits perfectly, supports well, and if you keep an eye on ebay it's sold there by quite a few sellers.

Not sure if I'm just feeding some pervert here but well....

I get some from M&S, Debenhams and the local proper lingere shop "Pretty Woman".

Bravissimo is kept for sales only!

Fashionworld.co.uk does a fairly good range in different sizes and also if you're lucky you can sometimes bag a bargain on the Next website in the sales/offers section...have got a couple of Freya bras for a tenner in the past.

Littlewoods do bigger sizes and nearly always have sales on, if you register then you'll get notice when they are starting.

I prefer certain brands like Freya, Fantasie, panache as I know what size I need in their ranges (often find I'm slightly different in different brands)

For a really big bargain then you can do worse than Katie Price range for Asda, usually only available in the larger stores or Asda living shops but pretty bras, pretty cheap and not bad on comfort and durability.

Larger Asda and Tesco stores do bigger sizes in more up to date styles but I've often found they're not as supportive. I tend to get mine from Debenhams during the sales- you can get named brands for about £5 if you are lucky and don't mind rooting for them. Have a look on their website and see if you can get any. Same for La Senza- they go for next to nothing in the sales.
I've never bought a bra at Bravissimo as they seem SOOOOO expensive, but I know people who swear by them. Different strokes for different folks I suppose!

Best of luck and if you find any cheap bras in a 36e let me know!!!
