hi all
i have started a diary before but didnt really keep up with it and lost all motivation so thought i would have a fresh start and a fresh look at clearing the dreaded debt!!!!!.
about me i have just recently hit just under mid 30's (BOOO...how that crept up on me i will never know) have been married and now doing the divorce thing (not helping debt) but now have a new partner and looking a bit more hopefull for the future. just need to clear them debts so can start this step of life fresh with no debt (which to be honest will be the first time i can say that in many years).
so would love to hear from any of you to help with my motivation and get me back on the MSE track. i have cleared about £1000.00 before losing my way so i know it can be done.
look forward to hearing from you lovely people.

Hi
well diary not going so well meant to write on everyday!!!!!!!!!!! well better late then never i guess. not much has really changed on the paying off front in last month but have now made my plan with the aim to be under £5000.00 by Jan 1st which i think should just about be doable......
Planning to kill off the cap 1 card first as i dont have any interest charged on the Tesco one for another 9 months so planning on £250.00 a month so should be clear by November then hit the tesco card which i hope to clear by May.
Really need to up my money coming in though and struggling to do ebay just keep putting it off which is stupid but just dont seem to have the commitment to it!!!!!!!!!!!! have done a few car boots though and cant believe what people will pay for (except my damm stepper that just wont sell)
am also contemplating moving into a house with my other half as its been quite a while now and i think its time so will need a little bit of money to put towards that although will be renting a house my parents own so no deposit needed woo hoo.
feel free to pop in and let me know how everyone is getting on also nice to hear good bits of money saving.

Hi! Just popping in. You not long posted on my diary so thought i'd have a gander on yours! Hope you dont mind?
Keep at it, well done for doing the car boots. Im sure someone will buy your stepper eventually. Some things just dont want to shift!
Ive never done a car boot but its something I've contemplated doing. I presume it costs for the space?? Its all very alien to me. I wouldnt know where to start!

Something I might consider, but a bit later in the year (do they even do car boots in winter??!?!?)
I'd rather brave the cold than the heat - can't stand the heat! Lol.
Ebay also something Id consider - it does seem like a lot more hassle though.Proud to be dealing with my debts one step at a time.Weight Loss Progress - 0 out of 56lbsWBDF's 'Weight Loss Challenge to Christmas 2009' Progress - 0 out of 21lbsPart of the DFW Addicts '''Blankie Club'' - Working my way to VEGAS babyOctober NSD's 0/100 -
the one near me is now open all year round although its a bit scary when its still dark and people are trying to go through your stuff before you have even unpacked it!!!!!!!!!
i have found the ones on colder days i make more money due to less stalls think people just have to buy something and have to laugh at stuff i was just going to bin selling for money i dread to think what these peoples houses look like filled with peoples car boot rubbish!!!!
Ebay is good but it is almost like you need a whole day off just to take photos and list it does stress me out quite a bit.

LOL! That made me laugh. Got visions of these shadowy figures trying to paw the stuff while its still in the car!
Yeah I can see that, not many stalls and people made the special trip out so they're determined to buy something. Its like me and the RSPCA charity shop near me! Lol. I dont go in so much now. Always feel ever-so dissapointed if I leave empty handed. :rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts one step at a time.Weight Loss Progress - 0 out of 56lbsWBDF's 'Weight Loss Challenge to Christmas 2009' Progress - 0 out of 21lbsPart of the DFW Addicts '''Blankie Club'' - Working my way to VEGAS babyOctober NSD's 0/100 -
honestly it was like some kind of nightmare people have their heads in your boxes demanding to know if you have any jewellery.........its a car boot i really would not be selling stuff thats worth money!
i am a charity shop nightmare especially any animal ones i went to York recently and there was a whole street full of them my oh had to literally drag me away(managed to buy a few bits though)

so been having a bit of a money re think and have decided that i should use some of the money saved to put onto clear the cap one cc as thats the one i am charged interest on then use the money i was paying for that to start on the tesco one..........feels hard though to take money out of savings to pay for what feels like nothing but think it is the best way especially as i want it all cleared by dec 10.
i know i will feel better when i look at the total and its less but i think having a its never going to go away moment. need to find a bit more money making schemes i think to try to pay more.......
any suggestions always welcome!
