Can't say that I'm being bombarded with that particular type of spam, only way I have to stop the messages is to make sure my spam filter catches as many as possible and that does seem to slow them down a bit. Otherwise you'll have to look at some 3rd party software to tie in with your email program.

It appears that anyone that replies to this email asking to unsubscribe etc then passes it on to everyone again...........

• Hi,

It looks like its a majordomo mailing list server thats been setup by amater spammers.

They have subscribed the list to it's self and allowed members to post

I've blaklisted the domain (pir-list.org.uk) on my mailserver (not that that helps anyone else).

If you want to do something about it complain to:

abuse@uk2.net

They are the isp which manages the ip address block that the pir-list server is running on.

pir-list.org.uk -> 83.170.84.248

unfortunatly the whois info for pir-list.org.uk is cloaked

The nameservers for pir-list.org.uk are on anmar.net which is owned by:

Al-Massari, Anmar Anmar@telinco.co.uk
100 Carlton Avenue East
Wembley
Middlesex, HA9 8LY
UK
(0208) 908-3064

I'm outside the uk so i don't want to make an international call, but if someone wants to yell at him/them go ahead.

(It's not certain that the owners of the domain of the nameservers will have much connections with the pir-list domain owners, but they should have some).

Just as with any spam... why would anyone reply or unsubscribe to a spam?

Never reply or click unsubscribe to a spam message, EVER. It simply confirms your address is real and spammers put it on a more exclusive spam list which is sold on to new spammers as a "guaranteed" receiver list, they know there is a person at the end of it.
