Sonisphere festival

Since there were so many of us who won tickets, I'm just wondering who went, if you all had a nice time and which band everyone enjoyed best - and if you managed to have an mse weekend ;)

We had a fantastic time thank you flamingice!

Went with OH and DS - DS has Aspergers (one of his issues is that he hates getting wet) so we had to leave on Saturday before Linkin Park as the rain was so heavy. He was so involved he didn't really bother until about 7, when we went off to the hotel in Luton. Pleased we'd booked it as camping just wouldn't have worked on a family trip in the rain.

We had an amazing day yesterday, spending lots of time lying in the grass near the Jaegermeister stage listening to the smaller bands, then going back to the main stages where we all enjoyed feeder as we all knew the music very well and DS could sing along.

I have to say I found Metallica amazing! I've been for my guitar lesson this evening and have decided to learn Enter the Sandman - truly inspiring! ;)

I had a fantasic time! I met up with some friends who I hadnt seen for ages, bumped into another friend, randomly while watching Thunder in the tent on Saturday who I hadnt seen for 4 years! I decided against camping in the end due to the weather being so changeable, so I stayed with friends instead.

My favourite bands were Taking Back Sunday, Thunder and The Wildhearts on Saturday and Alice in Chains, Feeder, Buckcherry and of course Metallica on the Sunday.
    Thanks to all posters!
  • My Boyfriend went with my brother and they both said they had a wicked time!

They loved Airbourne, Buck Cherry and Linkin Park!

They met some great people and said it was the best festival they had ever been too :j

I got back a couple of hours ago...long journey, but well worth it! I went with OH and we camped Sat & Sun. nights. It rained on Sat. night, while we watched Heaven and Hell. Sunday the weather was great. We saw NIN, Thunder, Alice in chains Linkin Park, and of course the great Metallica...who were the best!!! It was James' birthday, he was covered in cake!....It was fantastic...so glad I went!!!!!:T The atmosphere there was really great and so friendly.:D

I went with my niece on Saturday, decided not to camp, just went for the day and my brother went back on Sunday. It was great I love Linkin park, my niece said it was all awesome she especially liked Bullet for my Valentine especially when she had to be pulled out and crowd surfed. Got very wet but soon dried out! Was extremely tired as it was a very long day but it was worth it!
    Good Luck to everyone

I did too, just had a nice lovely sleep in a proper bed after camping for 3 nights!
My boyfriend and I had a great time, personal highlights were Coheed & Cambria, Attack! Attack!, Dead By April, Avenged Sevenfold and of course Metallica - James being covered in cake for his birthday was pretty funny :rotfl:

I had a great time, never stayed for Metallica but highlights for me were Alice in Chains who were quite frankly brilliant and Lamb Of God.

Was a bit disappointed with NIN as they played quite a subdued set considering this was supposed to be their last gig in Europe. Still good but not quite what I was expecting.

Anyway thank you once again to RockChickBird for posting the comp.

Not a bad freebie that one. :)
