Visiting London - wear your veterans badge

My elder brother is a war pensioner (aged 36).

We recently spent a week in London, doing the touristy places with me as his carer. With him wearing his veterans badge and carrying his war pensioner status card, we got into a lot of places such as attractions and museums totally free of charge (even the concessionary prices were 'waived').

Interestingly the only one place where we had to pay the concessionary charge (but me as carer got in free) was on HMS Belfast. All the other places we visited were only too pleased to give free admission when they saw the veterans badge.

Worth bearing in mind if visiting London.

Tally.
