Paint or tile bathroom walls?

Thank you all so much for your input and advice.
Just to let you know, we already have an extractor fan (but it needs a clean!!) so that's one less hassle.
I've just had the plumber round for a quote - should ahve it tomorrow and he's going to quote for both tiles and paint. I still need to make a decision, guess it will depend on the price difference
Thanks again0 -
Just me that doesn't like the all tiles thing then!

I wondered why so many people have it when it looks so bad! (in my opinion!)

just had mine tiled floor to ceiling
looks lovely and means I will only
have to paint the ceiling,and
door frame in the future,makes
it very low matinence.:j:j:j0 -
I'm sure it does rosekitten.
I feel the same way about built in wardrobes.0 -
we are tiling to dado height all around the room and painting above, and tiling full height around the shower- I think all tiles looks a bit hard and cold, plus i can change the paint colour very easily if i get bored
That's what mine's like, large bumpy white tiles and wallpapered. I don't have an extractor but have never had a condensation problem (it is a large room and tend to keep the window open) I like the knowledge that I can transform the whole scheme with a tin of paint.0 -
We are fully tiled in all bathrooms too, with good extractor fans.
Still looks good 20 years on.0 -
Just fully tiled mine and looks a lot better than the half tile and half bathroom paper I used to have.
But also cost a damn sight more, I've got no intention of doing anything other than touching up the small amount of woodwork before I move house and no plans to do that anytime soon.0
