PayPal Down?

I have been trying to pay for an item for 2 hours and pp keeps saying try later.

i'm having the same problem, i'm getting a page saying, sorry, something went wrong. really annoying as i need the item i am trying to pay for urgently

Me too, but don't keep trying as I have checked my paypal and the payment went trough even though I got the error message.

yup me too...been trying for a few hours i really need to pay for something asap as i need an item delivered asap

Me too ... been trying to pay for item using eBay links to Paypal for last hour and eventually after receiving several error messages it seemed to go through but now the eBay item record is not updating to say the item has been paid for. The eBay support team in UK have gone home now and I don't know how the Paypal support team can be contacted ... anyone got any suggestions or do we just ride it out ?

my payment just went through so seems fixed for me now

the same here. tried probably 5 times, just now almost finished and at the last step says error occured.
I believe they know about the problem as imagine how many auctions on ebay finished in the last few hours and how many people are trying to pay.

spoke to soon, got the page saying thank you for payment but no email from ebay or paypal, and in my ebay still shows i need to pay for item

Hmmm Mutley I wonder if they mean your Paypal account or eBay account ? .... well at least it seems they are now aware of the problem good job we had this forum cos I couldn't find anywhere else on Google talking about it
