With my recent experience with them, as long as you don't have any betting sites on your current account you'll be fine.
i was a customer for 5 years offset mortage gold card £10000, decent salary pre approved loan etc etc, then used my current account for matched betting, pushed about £170000 through in a year, went to remortage about 6 months ago, turned down house value £220000, only needed £80000, no card debt, loan etc, turned down flat, got the mortage thru hsbc no prob, i had closed the gold card down by then, tried 2 months ago for the other card spoke with underwritter, said i had no chance with betting sites on my account and even in 6 months would be unlikley
Ouch. Although one of the tips for matched betting is to use a separate account and debit card to avoid this and incase the card details get compromised by some dodgy Maltese bookiesInteresting to hear a confirmed case though.

Behavioural profiling for internal scoring - though if I ever took it up with an underwriter I'd be explaining that Matched Betting is a discipline that requires rigorous attention to detail and meticulous execution and actually demonstrates you're a risk-averse individualThat and drop in your profit to date figure

I was kicking myself canny, i chatted to her for about 20mins, explained what i was doing so i was actually making money, but she said when they put my 37 pages of transactions through the computer(lucky they only used 2 months of in fo ha ha), there is no chance of anything from them, so now my mortage is with hsbc, my new account with lloyds, and fd is my matched betting account. so i'll have a nice shiny clean account when i start the credit card rounds again in jan0

Good plan to move for having a bank who you can work with.
I'd keep the FD account though, you can still put it down on credit applications to show stability with your bank (even if it's no longer your primary account) - they won't go to them for any details and they can't see that you've reduced your activity with them."A child of five could understand this.
