£15 Sun holidays

Can anyone help or advise?

I recently booked the sun holiday offer for 5 of us Fri to Mon (3 nights) 3 adults also a 4 & 1 year old £75. It's just a break to keep us going this year as we went abroad in Jan and are going in Dec.

Accomadation no.99 Richmond holiday park, Skegness.

Next to the accomadation it states £3.75 per unit per night service charge but free entertainment.

So I was expecting a bill for 3 x 3.75=£11.25

what I received was the above plus 5 persons x £5.50 stating Sun promotion £15 offer supplement=£27.50

So instead of being £11.75 they are requesting £38.75.

I don't know anything about a supplement and have not been charged on previous Sun holidays (not the same place), I can't find anything in the Sun info or on the website regarding supplements. I tried to call the park earlier but they had shut. I think I shall be writing a letter telling them they can't have the extra or I will tell Mr Lewis! That should scare 'em!! :money:

Loooking at the booking form I can only see the £3.75 cost and it says that entertainment at this park is free. The only extra thing that costs is insurance (optional) .

I think they must have made a mistke with your booking . Give them a call when you get a chance.

just a thought but they may have mixed up some original applications for the first offer which was £9.50 per person with some for the new holidays that are £15 per person i.e. £5.50 difference. the inital offer you sent of a cheque for £38 i.e. (4 x £9.50). Is the latest offer an upfront payment of £60 when you send in the booking form or still £38?
  • They have taken the £60 out of my account, but not sure where we are going yet. This is the first time I have done this through the sun and not sure how it works. Can anyone enlighten me as to what happens now? :o

They allocate what park and dates you get on a first come first serve basis. You will get a letter stating what park you have been given and what date in a few days/weeks time (I've been on about 10 of them and sometimes I've had confirmation a day later and other times I've had it a few days before we leave). There will be an invoice on it stating how much you need to pay for entertainment passes, gas and electric and linen. Hope that helps.
