Asics British 10k Run

I did this run a few weeks ago and it was a good event except for one thing. It cost about £34 to enter and on receiving the pack I was informed that they could not send a program due to the warehouse flooding and ruining the programmes. To make up for this they said they have enclosed a special running t-shirt worth £17.99. There was however no t-shirt like this in the pack.
I called up union jack sports after the event to inform them of this and Mr Mike Reilly said he would put a t-shirt in the post albeit not the size I wanted due to low stocks.
2 other friends did this run and only one out of the 3 of us recieved the moisture management t-shirt promised in the letter.
Is this worth following up any more as they obviously are trying to fob people off. If i did this run again I would just join the race myself without the number / chip and time myself as I think its abit unorganised.

Apparently it is notorious for being badly organised, long waits and carp goody bags etc.
It is a good idea to check www.runnersworld.co.uk for reviews of races you are thinking of doing. You can find out the highlights or problems or whatever. There's also a rating system where people say whether they'd do the same race again.
