thankyou, sorry if i sounded thick ,its just that i saw it mentioned about going into a post office to get money out and i thought that maybe that was the only way of getting cash.
so much is on my mind with all this BR stuff at the mo that i have questions popping up in my head all the time.it was only april that hubby went BR but i seem to have forgotten it all!

The Cashminder account has DD's and SO's, internet and telephone banking, a debit card, you can use any cash machine that has the link sign to take money from the account., if you want to deposit money and you don't have a branch nearby you can do it at any Post Office. The Co-op is merging with Brittania at the moment and eventuslly you will be able to use their branches as well. You can open the account over the phone.

    Thanks Jaygo!

The guy I spoke to at Co-op said it was taking 10-14 working days to process new accounts, but perhaps he got it wrong. Do you know if you can open one by telephone?
I opened one in June. It did take around a fortnight for the account to be set up and receive my account number and debit card.
