Recently a letter was delivered to my house, and the postman asked for a signature. He did not ask my name or show me the letter. I signed for it, and when he gave me the letter I realized that it is not in my name, most likely in the name of the previous person that lived at this address.
So my question - is what I did illegal? And what should I now do?
Thanks

Whenever I sign for anything the PM (or woman) asks for my name to input into the handheld signature computer thingy. I doubt its illegal as you didnt know it wasnt for you and you didnt do it to deceive anyone.0

Don't open it- pop it back in a postbox with not at this address (or something similar) on it. It's not your fault that someone used incorrect post details. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

OK, thank you.0

as said you can put it in a post box with not at this address
or if you want to keep it a bit more secure then mark it not known and pop into your local post office and ask them to drop it in the SD pouch0
